• Soaking Directions: Place one 2 lb. Hydration Hay Horse Hay Block in a large bucket; Add a minimum of 5 quarts of water; Allow product to absorb water prior to feeding (approximately 10 minutes); To facilitate more uniform absorption, flip the hay block halfway through soaking time; Additional mixing by hand may further accelerate water absorption
• Horse hay is designed to replace a portion or all of the forage in a horse's diet
• If replacing all forage in a horse's diet, be sure to feed at a minimum rate of 1.0 to 1.2% of body weight (10-12 lb./ 5-6 blocks for a 1,000 lb. horse) with 2.0% of body weight preferred
• Replace forage on a 1:1 ratio
